Coming in at number 16 is Patrick Murphy, once a highly touted arm in the system. He’s turned into a fringe Blue Jay in the future. Coming off a stellar 2018 season in New Hampshire and Dunedin, he took a step backwards in 2019 after making some serious mechanical adjustments, and having a few injury bugs. Murphy is a massive dude on the mound and still looks like a future backend reliever who can overpower hitters, 2020 will be a big year for Pat as he needs to take a big step forward and beat out some guys for a spot on the Jays 2020/2021 Rosters.
Patrick has a 30 current grade and a 40 future grade, equaling out to a 36.6 total grade. Good for the 16th best player under the age of 25 in the system.
