Coming in at number 18 is Miguel Hiraldo, a 19 year old from the Dominican Republic. Hiraldo can play the entire infield and has a really good shot at being the Future Blue Jays 3rd Baseman of the future.
Hiraldo started the year and played the majority of it in Rookie Ball for Bluefield, where he had 237 ABs, slashing a line of .300/.348/.481 with 7 HRs, 20 2Bs, 37 RBIs and a K:BB ratio of 36:14. He played just a game for Lansing at A-Ball where he went 1 for 4 with a 3B and no BBs or Ks. Hiraldo is a raw player, given his extreme youth and impressive power tool. His defense needs some work, but he’s already developed his swing and just needs to refine his tools.
Hiraldo’s current grade is a 20, while his future grade is a 45, which works out to a 35.5 total grade. He’s one of my many talented 3Bs in the system and has MLB written on the wall for his future.
