Coming in at the number 25 spot is some Candian content – Oakville, ON native Dasan Brown. A third-round pick in the 2019 MLB Draft, Dasan has been great for the Jays in the Gulf Coast League in rookie ball. He’s currently slashing .222/.444/.356 in 45 at-bats. In that time, he’s got 8 Runs, 10 Hits, 2 2Bs, 2 3Bs, 5 RBIs, and SBs, which earned him a promotion to end the season with Vancouver.. His athleticism and quick hands are what got him drafted and so far he’s done exactly what the Jays expected when drafting him; his hit tool was a concern and so far with 17 K’s to 9 BB’s he’s been just alright in that category.
He kind of reminds me of Dalton Pompey in the sense that obviously both are home grown Canucks, but they both have uber athleticism and trackstar speed. Dasan is extremely young, as he’s only 17. His current grade is a 20, but his future Potential is a 40 making his overall grade a 32.2.
